Desti's spicy potatoes all'arrabbiata

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, new potatoes or new potatoes
  • 20 ml olive oil
  • ¾ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¾ tsp paprika powder, hot
  • ¾ tsp chili powder
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • 50 g salami or sucuk
  • 100 g tomato sauce, spicy (e.g. Arrabbiata sauce)
  • Coriander leaves
  • e.g. Sour Cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Preheat the oven to 230°C (top/bottom heat). Combine the oil, cayenne pepper, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl or freezer bag. Add the potatoes and mix well with the marinade until well coated. Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are not overlapping, and place them in the oven for 30-40 minutes, or until cooked through. Meanwhile, cut the salami into strips and fry them in a pan without oil until crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on kitchen paper. Remove the potatoes from the oven and mix them in a bowl with the Arrabbiata sauce and the salami strips. Season to taste. Garnish with fresh coriander and a dollop of sour cream, and serve immediately. This portion is intended for one person as a main course or as a side dish for two people.
