In this regard, nutritionist Elena Solomatina recommends not eating white flour products on a daily basis.

The first reason is the high concentration of sugar. This can disrupt the functioning of the pancreas.

“Sugar in white bread depletes the pancreas because it releases a lot of insulin. As a result, insulin resistance can develop. In this case, sugar rises and begins to literally eat away at the walls of blood vessels,” said Solomatina.

The doctor also added that high sugar levels damage the condition of blood vessels and a person’s cholesterol rises, as well as atherosclerosis, hypertension, and dementia.

In addition, white store-bought bread has a high glycemic index (GI). And it contributes to being overweight, obesity, and the development of type 2 diabetes.
