Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cup low-fat curd cheese
  • 100 ml buttermilk
  • 5 tbsp tomato paste
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 10 tbsp tomato ketchup (no curry or spice ketchup)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • n. B. Salt
  • n. B. Pfeffer
  • n. B. Thyme
  • 1 n. B. Paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 10 minutes

super tasty sauce, e.g. for doner kebabs, Turkish pizza or gyros

Chop the onion, mince the garlic, and mix all the ingredients together. To avoid any chunks in the sauce, I blend the mixture thoroughly again in a food processor (a hand blender will probably work too). The sauce should now sit in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. After that, you can adjust the seasoning to your liking, depending on whether you’d like it a bit sweeter or spicier.
