- 100 ml tomatoes, pureed
- 1 ½ tbsp tomato paste
- salt and pepper
- 1 burger bun
- some ketchup
- n. B. iceberg lettuce leaves
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Preheat the oven to 50°C top/bottom heat. Divide the bacon into 4 equal-sized slices. Place these in a cold pan and then heat on level 4 of 6. Let the bacon crisp for 4 minutes, then turn and cook for another 4 minutes. Place the bacon on a plate and let it rest in the oven. For each burger, divide 250g of mince into 125g pieces and form into two evenly sized, round patties. Flatten these slightly and then place in the pan. Season the patties with salt and pepper in the pan and, after turning, season the other side as well. Fry the patties on level 4 of 6 for about 3-4 minutes on each side. After turning, place the slice of butter cheese on one of the patties and let it melt. After cooking, place the two patties on the same plate as the bacon and return everything to the oven to keep warm. Finely chop 1/2 of an onion. Now add a dash of olive oil to the pan and sauté the onions. Once they have taken on some color, add the passata and tomato paste. Reduce the heat to level 2 out of 6 and stir everything together. Season again with salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer until the desired consistency is reached. Place the burger bun in the microwave for about 20 seconds. First, spread the bottom burger bun with the tomato and onion sauce. Add a dash of ketchup. Tear fresh iceberg lettuce on top. Slice the remaining red onion into rings and sprinkle on top. Then place the burger patty with the cheese on top. Place the burger patty without cheese on top. Now place 2 layers of 2 slices of bacon on the top patty and place the top half of the bun on top as a lid.
