Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g quark
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 200 g strawberries or raspberries
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup(s) apple juice or water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 100 ml whipped cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Beat eggs, vanilla sugar, and salt with the quark. Stir in the flour. Scoop 10-12 dumplings from the dough and place them in boiling, lightly salted water. Simmer gently for 5 minutes, or just let stand. Drain well and fry in browned butter until golden brown on all sides. For the fruit sauce, add chopped strawberries or raspberries to boiling sugared water or apple juice. Mash slightly and simmer briefly. Thicken lightly with cornstarch. Place the dumplings on the cooled sauce and decorate with whipped cream to create clouds.
