Ingredients

  • 2 kg Wild strawberries
  • 2 kg Rock sugar
  • 3 Vanilla pods
  • 2,8 L Vodka

Instructions

  • I put a lot of liqueur on the weekend so that our association can properly stock the booth at the Christmas market. You can already find raspberry and blueberry liqueurs in my cookbook.
  • We got a few very aromatic little wild strawberries at the weekly market and prepared them for liqueur. From the remaining 3kg I made my strawberry-amaretto jam with white chocolate.
  • Wash the strawberries and remove the greens. Put the strawberries in a suitable container. Slice open the vanilla pods and add. Add the rock sugar and the vodka and close tightly. Shake daily for the first week so that the sugar dissolves better. Then let it stand in a cool place for at least 8 weeks and only shake it every now and then.
  • After the time has elapsed, strain the liqueur through a strainer cloth and fill the liqueur into pretty bottles. It is a delicious souvenir from the kitchen and not to be despised for a sip from time to time.
  • When I think about it while bottling, I submit photos of the finished liqueur.
