Dumpling dough and minced meat casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of dough (dumpling), ready-made
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • e.g. fat, for frying
  • 4 tbsp spice mix, for minced meat
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp, heaped margarine, for the mold

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Mix the dumpling dough with the sour cream and egg, season with salt and pepper to taste. Fry the ground beef until crumbly and season with the ground beef seasoning. Dice the onions, add them to the ground beef, and fry. Grease a baking dish with margarine. Then add the dumpling dough. Raise the edges a little. Spread the ground beef and onions over the dumpling dough. Sprinkle with grated cheese and cover with aluminum foil. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake, covered, for 30 minutes, then remove the aluminum foil and bake for about another 20 minutes, until the crust is browned.
