Egg in Basket
The perfect egg in basket recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 Discs Toast
- 1 Tomato
- 4 Eggs
- Salt pepper
- Grated cheese
- Place the toast slices on top of each other, cut off the edge all around. Roll out each slice thinly with a rolling pin. Grease 4 cups or in a muffin tin (4 molds). Press in the toast slice.
- Cut the tomato into slices and place one slice of tomato in each. Slide one egg (raw) into the hollow at a time. Salt and pepper and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the preheated oven at 160 degrees for about 15 minutes.
- If you like the egg firm, bake it 5 minutes longer. Remove the basket from the mold and arrange on a plate. Salad goes well with it.
