Elderberry – Apple – Jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g gelling sugar (2:1)
  • 1 pack of citric acid
  • 600 g apples (James Grieve)
  • 400 g juice (elderberry juice)
  • 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cloves

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and finely grate the apples and place them in a saucepan. Add the elderberry juice to the fruit mixture to make 1 kg. Mix in the citric acid and gelling sugar according to the package instructions. Place the cinnamon sticks and cloves in a tea bag or tea strainer and bring to a boil with the fruit and sugar mixture. Boil for 5 minutes, skim off any foam, and pour the jam into prepared twist-off jars. Turn upside down for 10 minutes and let cool.
