Flour dumplings

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Salt
  • 125 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Combine and sift the flour and baking powder. Add the egg, salt, and water and knead until the dough is no longer sticky. Form the dough into an oblong dumpling, roll it lightly in flour, and immediately place it in boiling salted water. Let the dumpling simmer gently for about 25 minutes without interruption. To serve, place the dumplings on an oblong platter and cut into approximately 1cm slices. Tastes especially good with goulash and red cabbage.
