Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ liters of juice (elderberry juice), homemade or purchased
  • 1 kg brown sugar
  • 2 packs of flavoring (bourbon vanilla flavoring)
  • 3 tsp, leveled gingerbread spice
  • 200 ml espresso, freshly brewed
  • 1 bottle of rum (54%)

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

indescribably delicious

The homemade elderberry juice can be substituted with store-bought (organic) juice. The sugar quantity will need to be adjusted, as homemade juice is usually a bit more acidic. Boil some of the juice with all the spices, flavorings, and sugar, then add the espresso. Once cooled, combine with the rum and bottle. The liqueur is ready to drink. If you like, you can strain the liqueur. I personally like the flavors to develop even more over time. Shake before use!
