Elderberry Jelly with Orange, Cinnamon and Lemon

The perfect elderberry jelly with orange, cinnamon and lemon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1,2 l Elderberry juice
  • 1,2 kg Sugar
  • 1,5 Sachets Citric acid
  • 1 Orange
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1,5 Tl Cinammon
  • 1,5 Bags Gelfix 1: 1
  1. Wash the elderberries, sort them and boil them to juice with a little water. Line a sieve with a juice cloth, pour in the food and let the juice run off. When the mush has cooled down, squeeze out made 2 liters of juice.
  2. Wash the lemon and orange with hot water, dry them and rub off the peel, then cut the fruit in half and squeeze.
  3. Mix the Gelfix with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Pour the elderberry juice into a large saucepan, stir in the Gelfix mixture, the grated orange and lemon peel and the juices and bring to a boil over high heat.
  4. When it is bubbly, stir in the remaining sugar, bring to the boil again and cook for 4 minutes as instructed. Then turn off the stove and pour the jelly into prepared glasses, close and turn upside down for 5 minutes.
