Elderberry liqueur from juice

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml juice (elderberry juice)
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • ½ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 200 g sugar or white rock candy
  • 700 ml vodka

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Pour all ingredients into a 1.5-liter, sealable glass jar. Split the vanilla pod and chop the cinnamon stick. Place the jar in a dark place and shake daily. Once the sugar has dissolved, strain the liqueur through cheesecloth and bottle. The liqueur will be ready after about 3-4 weeks. I always make the elderberry juice using a steam juicer.
