a sweet casserole
Line a colander with a cloth, add the quark, and let it drain for at least 30 minutes, or wrap it in a cloth, hang it up, and let it drain. In the meantime, cook the pasta in salted water until al dente and melt the butter. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Thoroughly grease a baking dish. Mix the quark with the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, custard powder, and melted butter until smooth. Carefully fold in the pasta. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown. If the center is still runny but the edges are already brown, cover with aluminum foil and continue baking until the center is firmer. Dust with icing sugar and serve with fruit compote.
