Baked penne with spinach

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250g penne
  • 225 g leaf spinach, frozen
  • 2 tbsp ham, raw, diced
  • 1 onion(s)
  • margarine
  • Flour
  • Milk
  • nutmeg
  • salt and pepper
  • 50 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cook the pasta until al dente. Defrost the spinach according to the instructions. Finely dice the onion. Melt the margarine to make a light roux, add the onion until translucent, then sauté the flour until light brown. Make a light sauce with milk and water and simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the ham and spinach and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix the pasta with the spinach sauce in a greased baking dish and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake at 180°C for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is nicely melted.
