Endive salad with nuts à la Gabi

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of endive lettuce
  • 12 walnuts, fresh
  • 1 apple
  • Vinegar
  • oil
  • Salt
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes

Peel the apple, core it, and finely grate or slice it into sticks. Cut the walnuts into two or four pieces. Combine all of this in a salad bowl with the trimmed, thoroughly washed, and finely chopped lettuce. Make a marinade of vinegar, oil, salt, and sugar to taste. Pour it over the salad and let it marinate well.
