Epiphany Cake with Chocolate

  • 2,25 dl Milk

  • 32 Pc. Milk chocolate
  • 1 Pc. Almond kernel as king
  • 1 Pc. Egg
  • 1 Pc. Milk
  • Flaked almonds
  • Granulated sugar
  1. I took dry yeast
  2. Melt the butter
  3. With fresh yeast: Mix sugar, flour and salt together, form a well and add the yeast dissolved in milk, butter and egg
  4. Knead everything into a smooth, supple dough and cover it with a damp kitchen towel and let it rise twice as much
  5. Shape a larger piece of dough into the middle part and place about 16 pieces of chocolate in it. Then place the 8 balls, each with 2 pieces of chocolate, loosely around the middle part
  6. Let rise again for about 30 minutes
  7. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Beat the egg and milk and brush the cake, then sprinkle with almond flakes and granulated sugar
  8. Bake the cake at 190 degrees for about 30 minutes
