Exotic winter apple jam

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 850 g apples
  • 1 large grapefruit(s)
  • 1 large lemon(s)
  • 50 g almonds, chopped
  • 50 g raisins
  • 100 ml rum
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • e.g. cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Bring the rum and raisins to a boil and let it steep. Peel and quarter the apples, then sauté with 100 ml of water until soft. Drain the water and then puree the apples. Cut the grapefruit into small pieces and add them to the applesauce. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a vigorous boil for 5 minutes. Pour the jam into twist-off jars and turn them upside down for 4 minutes.
