Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 75 g honey
- 100 g butter
- 150 g cream
- 175 g sugar
- 30 g orange peel, very finely chopped
- 1 tsp orange peel, grated
- 300 g almond flakes
- 150 g chocolate coating, dark chocolate or a mixture of dark chocolate and milk chocolate
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 27 minutes
First bake on the tray, spread with chocolate, then cut….done
Simmer honey, sugar, butter, and cream for 5 minutes. Stir in the almond flakes, cook for another 5 minutes, add the candied orange peel and orange zest, and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and mark the border. Spread the mixture evenly and bake the sheet at 200°C for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool. Temper the chocolate in a water bath. Turn the sheet out onto a board. Spread the melted chocolate on the underside, which is now on top, and chill. Turn the sheet over again and cut into strips, rhombuses, or triangles.
