Fast, Hearty Fried Potatoes

The perfect fast, hearty fried potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Boiled potatoes (rest!)
  • 130 g 1 Käse-Bratwurst ( Rest ! )
  • 50 g 1 kleine Zwieblel
  • 1 tbsp Butterfat
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 0,5 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 0,5 tsp Whole caraway seeds
  • 2 big pinches Coarse sea salt from the mill
  • 2 big pinches Colorful pepper from the mill
  • 2 piece Gherkins
  • 2 thick slices Farmers bread
  • Butter
  • Salt
  1. Cut the potatoes into small slices. Quarter the sausage lengthways and cut into small pieces. Peel and quarter the onion, cut into slices and assemble in strips. Heat the butter fat (1 tbsp) with sunflower oil (1 tbsp) in a pan, fry the sausage pieces vigorously and take them out again. Add the potato slices and fry them vigorously, dusting with sweet paprika (½ teaspoon). Add the onion strips and fry with them. Season with whole caraway (½ teaspoon), coarse sea salt from the mill (2 big pinches) and colorful pepper from the mill (2 big pinches) and add / fold in the fried sausage pieces. Divide everything on 2 plates, garnish with a pickle and serve with a thick slice of rustic bread with butter and salt.
