Ingredients
Feta:
- 200 g Feta
- 5 tbsp Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 100 g Toasted sesame seeds
- 0,5 tsp Black cumin
- 100 g Panko flour
- Sunflower oil
Salad:
- 150 g Cucumber
- 150 g Red peppers
- 150 g Tomato (only the meat)
- 20 g Red peppers
- 20 g Caper apples
- 1 small Red Onion
- 1 small Onion white
- 1 tbsp go. Roughly chopped parsley
- Pepper salt
- 5 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Light balsamic vinegar
- Black olives optional
Instructions
Salad:
- Wash the vegetables and dry them well. Cut the cucumber into thick slices and then quarter them 1 more time. Core the paprika and cut into large pieces. Quarter the tomatoes, remove the seeds and cut into large pieces. Halve the pepper lengthways, remove the core and cut into small pieces. Quarter caper apples (alternatively small capers). Skin, quarter and quarter the onions. Chop the parsley very roughly. Optionally, halve black olives once (unfortunately I didn't have any more).
- Mix everything in a bowl with oil and vinegar. Season with pepper and salt and let it steep for at least 1 hour.
Feta:
- Halve the feta slice 1 x in the middle, so that 2 plates are created, and then cut through each of them 1 x. Build a breading line: 1 flat bowl with flour, 1 with the beaten egg and 1 with the sesame-panko mixture.
- Now first coat the slices thoroughly with flour all around, then dip in the egg, roll in the sesame-panko mixture and then thoroughly dip again in the egg and roll in the sesame again. Press down on the coating a little.
- Pour enough oil into a larger pan to cover the bottom and fry the slices all around until crispy brown.
- Then serve with the salad and serve with tzatziki (see link below). Sesame rings are perfect as a side dish (see link below), but of course baguette or ciabatta too.
- Souvlaki from the grill (with tzatziki) Sesame rings "Simit"
- The preparation times given below only refer to feta and salad.
