Feta baked with tomatoes and olives

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 packs of feta cheese, 200 g each
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 handful of cherry tomatoes, halved
  • some black olives, halved
  • 1 tsp savory, chopped, alternatively oregano
  • some pepper, freshly ground
  • n. B. Salt
  • some olive oil
  • 1 onion(s), thinly sliced ​​or wedged

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Main course for 2 people

Halve the feta slices horizontally (the original slice should be divided into two flatter pieces), place the slices in a baking dish greased with olive oil. Add the garlic, tomatoes, olives, and onion, if desired. Sprinkle with savory. Add a little more salt if desired (this isn’t necessary; the cheese and olives are already salty), grind pepper over the slices, and drizzle with olive oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes, until the edges of the cheese slices are lightly browned. Serve with flatbread, ciabatta, or baguette and a salad.
