Feta with peppers and cherry tomatoes from the oven

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g feta cheese
  • 120 g onion(s), red
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 500 g cherry tomatoes
  • 400 g bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 bunch of basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven or 200°C conventional/top/bottom heat. Place the feta in a large, shallow baking dish. If necessary, halve very thick pieces in half. Finely slice the onions and garlic and scatter them over the feta. Halve the cherry tomatoes and cut the bell peppers into thin strips about 5 mm thick. Spread both over the feta. Pour the oil over the feta and carefully season with salt, as the feta is already salty. Place the baking dish in the oven and after about 20-25 minutes, season with freshly ground pepper and basil, then serve. Serve with light bread such as baguette or ciabatta.
