Fig and banana sauce with Amaretto

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 fig(s)
  • 1 banana(s)
  • e.g. raisins
  • 100 ml cream
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 80 ml Amaretto
  • 1 pinch(s) vanilla, bourbon, ground
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cut open and hollow out the fig. Thinly slice the banana and quarter them, as well as the raisins. Put 50 ml of cream and the sugar into a non-stick pan and heat gently until the sugar has dissolved in the cream. Then add the fig and 20 ml of Amaretto, simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Now add the finely chopped banana and the quartered raisins with 40 ml of Amaretto, and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Add a little salt and ground Bourbon vanilla, then pour in 50 ml of water and 50 ml of cream. Bring to a boil for about 3 minutes, then add another 20 ml of Amaretto and bring to a boil again. This sauce is excellent served with vanilla pudding.
