Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg fig(s), dried
  • 200 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 200 g almonds, chopped
  • 100 g walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of clove powder
  • 1 tsp orange peel, grated
  • 100 g dark chocolate coating
  • 2 cl brandy
  • 50 g almonds, peeled

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 20 minutes

Bread of young

Roughly chop the figs and mix well with the nuts, almonds, cinnamon, clove powder, sugar, and orange zest. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler and stir into the fig mixture. Add the brandy and mix well. Line a springform pan with baking paper and pour in the fig mixture. Refrigerate overnight to set. Serve with semi-hard cow’s milk cheese, hard goat’s cheese, semi-hard sheep’s milk cheese, or three-milk cheese.
