Finely filled orange cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g flour
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 250 g butter
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 1 orange zest, organic
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ cup spread (orange curd)
  • Nonpareils in gold metallic
  • 1 pack of white icing
  • Violets, candied or cookie decorations of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 57 minutes

Make a dough from the dough ingredients and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least half an hour. Then roll out to about 3 mm thick and cut out round cookies. Bake in a preheated oven at about 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 12 minutes until golden brown or at most light brown. Let cool. Place two cookies together with orange curd. Cover the tops with icing and sprinkle with nonpareils and candied violets (chopping larger pieces slightly). Let dry.
