Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g butter, room temperature
- 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot
- 1 large onion(s)
- 1 tbsp honey
- n. B. Salt
- e.g. chili powder or cayenne pepper
- n. B. Pfeffer
- e.g. lemon juice

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Delicious with fresh bread, sophisticated for grilling. Also suitable as a souvenir.
Peel and finely dice the onion. Sauté in a little butter until translucent, season with chili, salt, and pepper. Stir in the honey and let everything cool. Beat the butter with a food processor until white and creamy, then fold in the mustard. Mix in the onion and honey mixture. Season with lemon juice to taste and adjust seasoning if desired. Pour into small jars and let it set in the refrigerator. The butter will be ready to serve after about 30 minutes in the freezer. This recipe makes about 20 servings of butter. Tip: If you don’t have a food processor, you can let the butter get really soft and mix everything with a whisk or fork instead.
