Fish casserole special

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g cod fillet(s)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 75 g oat flakes, wholemeal
  • Mustard, medium hot
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 pkt. mashed potato powder, for 750 ml liquid
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Drizzle the washed fillet with lemon juice. Chop the parsley and dice the onion. Combine both with the oatmeal, mustard, egg, and crème fraîche. Season. Bring 500 ml of water and 0.5 teaspoon of salt to a boil. Remove from the heat and add the milk. Stir in the mashed potatoes. After 1 minute, whisk vigorously. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Season the fish and place it on top of the mashed potatoes. Spread the herb mixture on top. Bake in a preheated oven (175°C fan-assisted oven) for 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve with a mixed salad marinated in buttermilk. Tip: If you don’t like ready-made mashed potatoes, you can of course use homemade mashed potatoes.
