Fish Potty
The perfect fish potty recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Fish fillet
- 200 g Shrimp
- 200 g Scallops, muscle meat
- Salt pepper
- Lemon juice
- 1 bunch Spring onions
- Dill tips
- 0,25 l White wine
- 0,25 l Vegetable broth
- 5 Gherkins
- 200 g Sour cream
- 2 tbsp Butter
- Rinse the fish fillets (e.g. redfish or saithe), pat dry, season with salt and pepper, drizzle with a little lemon juice and let them steep for a moment.
- Rinse and drain the prawns and clams.
- Wash and clean the spring onions and cut diagonally into thin rings. Cut the gherkins into thin slices.
- Heat the butter in a large saucepan and sweat the spring onion rings in it. Deglaze with white wine and vegetable stock and simmer for about ten minutes.
- Cut the fish fillets into goulash-like pieces and add to the stock along with the prawns, mussel meat and gherkins. Let the whole thing stand for about 7-10 minutes.
- Stir in the sour cream, heat it (do not let it boil anymore !!!) season with dill, salt and pepper – if necessary tie the fish pot.
