Flat spiced roast chicken

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 chicken (corn-fed)
  • Spice mix of:
  • lots of chicken seasoning
  • some salt
  • some pepper
  • some chili powder
  • a little rosemary, finely chopped
  • some ginger, grated
  • some garlic, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp rapeseed oil or olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Simultaneous tanning of chest and back!

Cut the backbone from the chicken (use scissors!), rinse, dry, and flatten. Mix the spices with the oil to a creamy paste, first brushing it onto the exposed underside, then onto the top. Let it soak in for about 30 minutes. Now roast in an oven preheated to 180°C on the first shelf using top/bottom heat for 50 minutes.
