Chicken in honey-balsamic sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g chicken fillet(s)
  • 1 cup of cream, 200 g
  • 125 ml chicken broth
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

First, season the fillets with salt and pepper. Sear the meat in a deep pan with oil. Then remove from the pan and keep warm in the oven at 50-80 degrees Celsius. Add the cream and broth to the same pan, stirring to loosen any sediment, and heat over medium heat. Season the sauce with honey and balsamic vinegar. Since each honey and balsamic vinegar has a different intensity, you may need to adjust the quantities slightly. Add the meat and its juices to the sauce and season to taste with salt and pepper. Rice, baked potatoes, or mashed potatoes are excellent accompaniments.
