Flavored water with orange and basil

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ organic orange(s)
  • 1 handful of basil
  • 1 ½ liters of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 hours; Total time approx. 10 hours 5 minutes

Wash and zest the orange in hot water, then slice half of it. Wash the basil, about 3-4 stems, depending on size and intensity of flavor. Place the basil and orange slices in a carafe and add about 1.5 liters of cold water. Let it steep in the refrigerator overnight. Once the water is gone, you can refill the oranges with fresh water once or twice. The basil quickly becomes unsightly, so it’s best to replace it with fresh basil for a new batch.
