How to flavor water
You can flavor water in many different ways; be it with the help of fresh herbs and berries, fruits, or even vegetables.
- Cucumber water is a refreshing thirst quencher. The water is often offered in spas for its refreshment. To do this, add a quarter of the organic cucumber to one liter of water together with some dill or mint.
- The most well-known flavoring substance in water is probably lemon. In summer you can quickly mix a tasty lemonade with it. Squeezed or sliced, the lemon provides the right kick to the drink. If you add slices to the water, peel the fruit well. Otherwise, the peel will make the water too bitter.
- Fresh mint tastes good not only as tea but also as an aroma in the water. The mint can also be infused cold more often. It tastes particularly good with fresh raspberries in water.
- Ginger water is particularly suitable in autumn or winter or when a spring cold is imminent. The root is anti-inflammatory. To do this, first, peel the ginger and then cut or dice it. In order to achieve an intense taste, you should let the water steep a little.
- For a sour water aroma, you can add currants to the water. So that the taste actually develops, press the currants a little until they burst before you put them in the water.
- Pieces of apple in the water give the drink a slightly sweet taste. Here, as with all other citrus fruits that you want to add to the water, it is very important to use only untreated fruit peel.
