Florian's Loaded Nachos

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 bag(s) of nachos
  • 350 g bacon, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce, Chinese (Char Siu Sauce)
  • 1 dash of teriyaki sauce
  • 200 g mozzarella, grated
  • 200 g Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 bunch spring onions
  • 500 g cocktail tomatoes
  • ¾ bottle of sour cream sauce
  • dashes BBQ sauce of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Brown the bacon, then add the char siu sauce and deglaze with teriyaki sauce. Place a layer of nachos in a small baking sheet (approx. 40 cm x 26 cm, which is about half the normal size) or a casserole dish, spread half the bacon on top, and sprinkle generously with cheese. Then add another layer of nachos, bacon, and cheese (I also poured the marinade from the pan over the nachos. It makes the dish a little richer, but I thought it was too good to throw away). Bake in a hot oven at 180°C (convection oven) for about 10 minutes. Slice the spring onions into rings (you can also use the green parts), halve or quarter the cherry tomatoes (depending on your preference). When the cheese has melted or browned to your liking, remove the nachos from the oven and sprinkle with spring onions and tomato pieces. Spread the sour cream sauce on top and garnish with drizzles of BBQ sauce. Serve garnished with BBQ sauce.
