Foxy’s Onion Pie
The perfect foxy’s onion pie recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
for the ground
- 125 g Butter soft, in flakes
- 250 g Sifted flour
- 0,5 tsp Salt
- 1 Egg
Covering:
- 1 kg Onions, sliced into thin rings
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 100 g Grated mountain cheese
- 100 g Bacon cubes
- 4 Eggs
- 200 ml Cream
for the ground
- Knead the sifted flour, bits of butter, salt and egg together well in a bowl. Firmly press the dough into a well-greased springform pan on the bottom (roll with a small roller) and pull the edge up a little on the springform pan.
Covering
- Heat the oil in a pan, sauté the onion slices and place in a bowl to cool a little. Mix in the diced bacon, grated cheese and parsley. Then mix in the eggs and cream. Season with nutmeg and pepper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 160 ° C for 40-45 minutes until golden brown
