Onion Pie – Tray

The perfect onion pie – tray recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Pizza dough or quiche dough, fluffy:

  • 20 g Potato flour
  • 100 g Flour, type 550, strong for baking
  • 50 g Oat flakes or oatmeal
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • 0,1 l Milk
  • 0,2 l Water or vegetable stock, warm
  • 1 tsp Oregano (wild marjoram) spice
  • 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Covering:

  • 200 g Quark, 40%
  • 200 g Yogurt 10% fat
  • 2 Piece Freshly sliced ​​onion, red or white
  • 100 g Smoked ham cubes
  • 1 piece Spring onions fresh, sliced
  • 2 piece Eggs
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1 tbsp Sweet peppers, to sprinkle on
  • 2 piece Turkey breast slices, cut into strips
  • 1 tbsp Seasonal herbs
  • 3 piece Cheese slices, cut for topping.

The yeast dough:

  1. Mix the ingredients together and shape into a round mass, leave in a warm place for about 30 minutes until it has grown larger. Now knead again with a little more flour and spread evenly on a baking sheet with baking paper. 5 minutes prebake.

The topping:

  1. Fry the onions and the diced ham, stir with the eggs and the remaining ingredients and apply them to the dough surface. Finally distribute the cheese on top.

Baking time:

  1. In a preheated electric oven, the baking time for pre-baking the dough is approx. 5 minutes and after topping it is approx. 20-30 minutes, or you can extend it yourself, depending on the thickness of the dough and topping.
