French Apple Pie from Tray

  • For the dough
  • 175 g Butter
  • 1 Pc Lemon
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 400 g Flour
  • 3 Teaspoon (level) Baking powder
  • For covering
  • 1,5 kg Peeled apples
  • 250 g Raisins
  • 1 glass Orange jam
  • 200 g Flour
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 150 g Butter
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  1. Wash the lemon with hot water and rub the peel. Mix the juice and all the other dough ingredients into a smooth dough and spread on a greased baking sheet.
  2. Quarter the peeled apples, cut into thin slices and place on the dough. Scatter the raisins (if you like, you can “bathe” them in rum beforehand). Mix the jam with water and brush the apples with it. For the crumble the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and cold, in small. Knead pieces of cut butter and pour over. Bake at 200 degrees with top / bottom heat for approx. 35 to 40 minutes.
