French brioche

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 20 g yeast, fresh
  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 500 g flour
  • some water, lukewarm

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and let it stand for about 10 minutes. Mix the butter with the milk, eggs, and salt. Then combine the flour with the yeast mixture and the butter, milk, and egg mixture to form a smooth dough. Pour the mixture into a lightly buttered round pan and let it rise for about 50 minutes. If you’d like it patterned, simply score the surface with a knife. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (convection oven) and bake the brioche for about 50 minutes. Tip: If you like it sweet, you can add sugar. I only added a pinch, but I prefer more.
