Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 potatoes
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Deep fryer required

Turn on the deep fryer to melt the fat. Peel the potatoes, cut them into wedges or strips, and pre-cook them in the deep fryer at 150 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes. Remove and drain. Deep-fry at 180 degrees Celsius for 3-5 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper (otherwise they’ll be greasier than they already are) and season. In Germany, fries are usually seasoned with just salt or potato seasoning. But the sky’s the limit! In England, fries are drizzled with vinegar. Fries, especially these, are extremely greasy. But they taste all the better for it.
