Ingredients

  • 600 g Waxy potatoes
  • 1 tsp French salt, alternatively paprika powder and a little salt
  • 2 tsp Oil

Instructions

  • Peel the potatoes and cut into sticks. Transfer to a bowl filled with water until ready to use. This will make the fries a little crispier as the water rinses off the starch.
  • Dry the potato sticks and place in a freezer bag or large bowl. Mix with French salt and oil.
  • Spread the fries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, making sure that the fries are not on top of each other. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees circulating air on the middle rack for about 20 - 25 minutes until golden, sticking a wooden spoon in the oven door for the last 5 - 10 minutes so that the moisture can escape.
