French toast casserole with berries

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g cake (Stuten) with or without raisins
  • 4 eggs, size M
  • 250 ml milk
  • 4 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 bowl of mixed berries
  • some powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp, crushed cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the sauerkraut into cubes. Mix the eggs, milk, cinnamon, berries, and maple syrup in a bowl. Place the chopped sauerkraut in a small baking dish. Spread the mixture over the sauerkraut. Then place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 200°C (top/bottom heat) until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to serve.
