French toast chocolate rolls

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slices of sandwich toast
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • n. E. Nut nougat cream (e.g. Nutella) or duo cream
  • Butter for frying
  • cinnamon sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Remove the crust from the sandwich toast and flatten it with a rolling pin. Spread with your choice of chocolate spread (amount to your liking). Roll up the toast slices. Whisk the egg and milk, then place a pan with the butter over medium heat. Dip the toast rolls into the egg mixture, ensuring the entire roll is covered. Allow excess to drip off and then fry in the pan until golden brown. After frying, drain briefly on kitchen paper and then coat with cinnamon and sugar. For a delicious variation, simply mash a banana and add it to the chocolate spread as a filling. Then proceed as described above.
