French toast – sandwich with ham and cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) toast bread, (sandwich toast)
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices of processed cheese
  • 2 slices of cooked ham
  • 50 g butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Whisk the eggs, add a little salt, and soak the toast slices in the egg mixture for about 10 minutes (one slice will absorb 1 egg). Then fry the toast slices in butter until golden brown. As soon as a slice is removed from the pan, season with pepper and immediately place a slice of cheese on top, then the ham, then more cheese, and cover with a second slice of toasted bread. Repeat with the next portion and serve the French toast immediately.
