Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 shot of Cointreau
  • 125 g butter, melted
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder

light and airy waffles with Cointreau

Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites in a tall bowl with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with the melted butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and Cointreau until fluffy. Mix the flour with the baking powder and cinnamon. Alternately stir the flour and milk into the batter. Finally, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites. Bake waffles from the batter in a waffle iron.
