Fresh figs in syrup with Greek yogurt

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 ml water
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch(s) of saffron
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 8 figs, fresh, halved
  • 150 g yogurt, Greek

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

fine dessert

In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, a good pinch of saffron, cinnamon stick, and honey. Bring to a boil while stirring, then reduce the heat and simmer gently for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, wash and halve the figs, then add them to the syrup. Simmer gently for another 5 minutes, or until the figs are soft. Then remove from the heat, remove the cinnamon stick, and let cool slightly. I now place the yogurt in the middle of a platter and arrange the still-warm figs around it. Pour the syrup over the figs and arrange the platter like this. Then everyone can put their favorite yogurt, figs, and syrup on a dessert plate. Or you can arrange ready-made portions on a dessert plate.
