Fried green herring

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 fish(s) (green herring)
  • butter
  • Flour
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly almond(s), sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash, scale, and gut the herring, and cut off the head and tail. Dry the fish thoroughly and season with salt and pepper. Coat in flour and fry slowly in butter over low heat. Toast the almond flakes in the butter and serve with the herring.
