Fried noodles with beef

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 150 g Chinese egg noodles (Mie noodles)
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, walnut-sized
  • 2 small bell peppers
  • 500 g Chinese cabbage
  • 300 g beef steak(s) (rump steak or rump steak)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cook the noodles in plenty of boiling salted water for 4-5 minutes. Drain, rinse, and drain well. Peel and finely dice the onions, garlic, and ginger. Trim and wash the bell peppers and Chinese cabbage. Pat the meat dry. Cut the vegetables and meat into strips. Heat oil in a wok or large frying pan. Brown the meat in batches, season with salt and pepper, then remove. Stir-fry the onions, garlic, and bell peppers in the hot fat. Add the noodles, Chinese cabbage, and ginger, and fry for 2-3 minutes. Stir in 5-7 tablespoons of soy sauce and all the meat. Season to taste with pepper and soy sauce, if desired. Serve garnished with coriander.
