Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 300 g potatoes, mostly waxy
- 2 onions
- 200 g sausages
- 50 g bacon (belly bacon)
- 100 g carrot(s)
- 50 g leek
- 100 g Chinese cabbage
- 100 ml vegetable stock
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- salt and pepper
- some rosemary
- some oregano
- some caraway
- nutmeg
- some vegetable oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
with vegetables
Peel the potatoes and then slice them. Fry the whole thing in a non-stick pan with a little vegetable oil for about 5 minutes, turning the potatoes occasionally so that the slices take on some color. Meanwhile, peel the onions and chop them into large pieces. Slice the bratwurst and dice the bacon. Clean and slice the vegetables and set aside. Once the potato slices have taken on some color, reduce the heat and add the onions, bratwurst slices, bacon, garlic and carrots and fry briefly. To give them a roasted flavor, deglaze the pan with the stock, cover the pan and let it simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir carefully occasionally so that the potato slices do not fall apart. Now mix in the spices and remaining vegetables and let it simmer with the pan uncovered for about 5 minutes. If desired, you can add more seasoning and, if you like, a little caraway and nutmeg to taste. A mixed salad goes very well with this.
