Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g butter or margarine, soft
  • 150 g honey (acacia honey)
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), scraped
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g Flour (wholemeal spelled flour)
  • 100 ml milk
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Whisk the butter with honey, vanilla, and salt. Add the eggs and mix thoroughly. Stir the flour and milk alternately into the batter. Preheat and grease the waffle iron and bake the waffles. Let them cool on a wire rack. Tip: Serve with cherries and whipped cream, red fruit compote, or simply dusted with powdered sugar. Reheat in the toaster oven, if desired.
