delicious cookies made from oat flakes and shortcrust pastry with fruit and nut topping

For the base, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix the oats, flour, and baking powder, stir in, and add a little milk if necessary, so that the mixture can be brought together into a dough with your hands. Wrap in cling film and chill for about 1 hour. For the topping, bring the butter, honey, and sugar to a boil, deglaze with the milk, then add the nuts, flaked almonds, and finally the chopped dried fruit. Roll out the chilled dough into a rectangle about ½ cm thick and spread the fruit and nut mixture on top. Bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool and cut into triangles. Makes about 50 loaves.
